Blonde Champagne is Mary Beth’s original blog home.  It is her personal site, where she holds forth on many vital matters of national security, including deciding whether or not she should have children, why Double Dare is the true way to choose a President, the adorablity quotient of her two nephews, and why various things suck.

It has existed in at least some form since 1993, under a variety of distribution channels and now-embarrassing names.  Thousands of “The Readers” stop by for Mary Beth’s kinda-daily take on life; her audience has bonded mightily, with many devotees tracking down her online wedding registry to show their love with punch bowls and canister sets.  The commenting policy at Blonde Champagne stresses a non-partisan, pro-equal opportunity mocking mindset.

For seven years, Blonde Champagne was hosted by Blogger, but the site fell apart, images and all, when–this is true– Mary Beth accidentally deleted her account.  The archives, however, still stand.  Blonde, yes!  Able to perform simple website operations, no!

As of February 2008, Blonde Champagne began its relationship with WordPress.  It’s going okay, you know, lots of good times, but they haven’t had The Talk yet.
